| Over the last few days I have been working on the new prices and have about half the products re-figured. Across the board it looks like about a 7 1/2% to 8 1/2% increase. A few examples of what the new prices will be are below. Based on current cedar stock and orders, I should be placing an order about the second week of February, about 2 weeks from today (1/27). That's when the new prices will go in effect. I will keep the current prices until Sunday February the 5th for sure to give everyone a chance to order at the old price. After that, the change could come at any day.

| I have enough Bubinga wood to do one more full set of the larger (Vinotemp or Edgestar) or 4 individual double trays. I have plenty to do singles and the smaller trays like the Frigidaire units. Once that's gone, that's it for sure. My supplier has no intention on restocking and even if he did, not at the price he had it before. Therefore I will not be receiving anymore. | |

| Someone must have posted something somewhere because in the last few weeks I had more orders for the cedar sheets than I received all year. Please understand, the cedar used to make the sheets is the left over thin slices that are left when I rip cedar for other things. These are basically leftovers that would otherwise go to waste. If I have to cut them out of regular 3 inch thick boards I would lose money. So, it may be a month or so before I have enough of the pieces stocked back up to process. If you already have an order placed and paid for, yours are safe and sound, set aside waiting for the rest of your order to be finished.

| My supplier has extended his sale price on the zebrawood as long as I buy a bunch. So considering the popularity I have ordered a load in advance. I am also trying to get something new and unique to replace it as the featured product since the zebrawood has been on the front page for a long time now. | It's that time of year again when the temperatures outside are getting very hot and packages will be sitting in really hot trucks for long periods of time. Thus the likelihood some people may experience some sap on their products when they open them up. While annoying, it's hard to prevent this time of the year. Most of the sap is leached out during the drying process but some remains. Sudden changes in temperature or storage in dry hot air can cause some sap to leach out of the wood. You can wipe it off with denatured alcohol or if its really stubborn a fine sandpaper will remove it. Another issue this time of year is slight warping of shelves. To "relieve" the shelf, slightly dampen it with a damp cloth and place it in the cooler with a little weight on it. The next day repeat the process but place the shelf in the cooler upside down. This should return the shelf to its original shape. | |
